Chutney Salsa

Servings: about 2 cups

Talk about salsa with a twist! This tasty dip has a wild combination of flavors, including exotic mango chutney, corn, black beans and ORTEGA Green Chiles. Though delicious with chips or crackers, this salsa is also wonderful on grilled chicken or fish.


  3/4 cup chopped red bell pepper

  2/3 cup canned black beans

  1/2 cup CROSSE & BLACKWELL Hot Mango or Major Grey's Chutney

  1/3 cup whole-kernel corn

  2 Tbs sliced green onion

  2 Tbs chopped fresh cilantro

  1 Tbs ORTEGA® Diced Green Chiles

  1/8 - 1/4 tsp ground coriander

  4 - 6 drops hot pepper sauce (optional)

  Tortilla chips or crackers

COMBINE bell pepper, beans, chutney, corn, green onion, cilantro, chiles, coriander and hot pepper sauce in medium bowl; mix well. Cover; refrigerate for 2 hours. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving. Serve with chips or crackers.
