Zesty Turkey & Rice

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

This quick-cooking, one-dish meal transforms leftover turkey into a flavorful dinner that's sure to satisfy.

Ingredients

  2 cups Chicken

  1 tsp dried basil leaves

  1/4 tsp garlic powder

  1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce

  1 can tomatoes

  3/4 cup white rice

  1 cup frozen peas

  2 cups turkey or chicken

Directions

Heat the stock, basil, garlic powder, hot pepper sauce and tomatoes in a 2 1/2-quart saucepan over medium heat to a boil. Stir in the rice. Reduce the heat to low.  Cover and cook for 20 minutes.

Stir in the peas and turkey. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the rice is done.
