Cheddar with Sautéed Apples

Choose an aged sharp cheddar cheese for these sweet-savory appetizers.


  2 medium cooking apples, unpeeled and thinly sliced (about 4 cups total)

  1/4 cup sugar

  1/2 tsp cinnamon

  1 Tbs butter or margarine

  1/2 cup dried cranberries

  24 Crackers Town House® Bistro™ Multigrain Crackers

  6 oz extra sharp chedar cheese, thinly sliced

1. In medium bowl toss together apple slices, sugar and cinnamon.

2. In large skillet melt butter. Add apple mixture. Cook over medium-high heat about 4 minutes or until hot, gently stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in cranberries.

3. Top crackers with cheese and apple mixture. Serve immediately.
